Astroturf. No non-professional would have a sign that fancy.

Astroturf Alert! Obviously the Evil Insurance Companies bought this guy with a sandwich. Only a wealthy corporation would supply sign that fancy.

Addendum to Boxer Protest at San Jose Barnes & Noble, part II

Here's the closest thing to a "Brooks Brothers Brigadier" that was present.

An account of the Boxer protest … and lack of media coverge thereof

To all those who took part in the very large and succesful San Jose Tea Party, for Ma’am Boxer’s invisible appearence at a Barnes and Noble bookstore signing yesterday, on Stevens Creek Bloulevard, I say a heartfelt “thank you!” Around 200+ concerned citizens of all walks of life showed up. This is participatory democracy, the backbone and life blood of our beloved American Republic.

Here is the more and more disturbing and outright frustrating news: I didn’t see even one single major reporter. I was looking for channels 4, 5 or 7 or even local 36 as well as even an SF Chronicle or SJ Mercury scribe – hopefully I was wrong here and missed at least ONE of these!

Our local left conspiracy guy did have a few nice pictures, though with snarkly little comments.  Most of the snark is about “important” thinks like making note of peoples’ weight and such.

Here’s some of the pictures that I though were worth your notice :

No astroturf here - just plain old folks!

Cartoony, make-belive care was available for those who can't wait for Obama's cartoony, made up plan to be implemented. (Seemed like a nice kid.)

I noticed Green Peace Helmet Guy in the "Lucy" picture. I wish I'd seen him... or at least that someone had posted a better picture of him. Drat. I wonder if his helmet works like a tinfoil deflector beanie.

If it weren't for the book-signings, Boxer would be on a milk carton by now. "Have You Seen Me?"

One of the cool things about this protest : there were a few handfuls of scattered opposition of various stripes... but none of them were shoved around or harassed. Heck, the only thing close to that I witnessed even close to that was a guy in an Obama shirt that just would leave a couple of anti-Boxer protesters in peace (not the other 'way). That was just words, though.

Yup. Here's the "angry mob" the Democrats warned you about in that ad of theirs. Oh, and Nazis, just like Nancy Pelosi told you! COming up next : Obama will tell you about the Evil Monkey that lives in your closet!

(More pictures later; I think I’ll run out for a vegan donut and then run some errands now …)

The was a big protest of Barbara “Ma’am” Boxer in San Jose…

She was at the Barnes and Noble on Steven’s Creek, hawking her novel.  From what I hear, about 35 people showed for her booksigning (not counting her entourage, extra  B&N security and a handful of actual cops).

There were hundreds of protesters.

There was also maybe four pro-Obama people and a handful of “Single-payer healthcare” folks.

Of course, NBC spent lots and lots of time interviewing one of the Obama people, coincidentally, the only one that was black.  I guess it was a 25% chance, but still against the odds.  Make your own judgment.

Pictures tomorrow.
