The way people avoid the word “stigma”, you’re almost imagine that it is always a bad thing. Let’s face it, some folks deserve to be systematized.
On that note, here’s a nice picture I saw over at Snark and Boobs…
Jimmy apparently saw it coming, of course.

The American Papist corrects the latest propaganda ploy, quoting Sister Mary Ann Walsh :
A recent letter from Network, a social justice lobby of sisters, grossly overstated whom they represent in a letter to Congress that was also released to media.
Network’s letter, about health care reform, was signed by a few dozen people, and despite what Network said, they do not come anywhere near representing 59,000 American sisters.
The letter had 55 signatories, some individuals, some groups of three to five persons. One endorser signed twice.
There are 793 religious communities in the United States.
The math is clear. Network is far off the mark.

I did not know that.
Goat has been called “the soccer of meat”: Everyone loves it but Americans. Traditionally, the agricultural viability of goats in this country has been limited to tangy cheeses, petting zoos and mohair sweaters. – AOL news
How have they not blamed this on Global Warming?
In other news – AOL still exists?!?!

… bitching about domestic airports?
I was traveling via Los Angeles International Airport — LAX — last week. Walking through its faded, cramped domestic terminal, I got the feeling of a place that once thought of itself as modern but has had one too many face-lifts and simply can’t hide the wrinkles anymore.
I’m currently suffering through Hot, Flat and Crowded. And it’s getting to me. What a tedious mess. I’m pretty sure he beats the domestic-airport-as-metaphor and domestic-train-station-as-metaphor at least a couple of times.
